We’ve heard that phrase over and over, time and time again…
And yet — it can be SO HARD to discover a place where we are truly happy.
Here’s the reason why: A happy place is not literally a place—it’s a state of mind.
“Jen, whaaaaat?” — I know, I know… But hear me out!
A happy place is NOT a location, it’s not what we have, or what we’ve achieved…
Our happy places are one hundred percent internal.
It’s the place inside where we know that everything is okay.
And we have an opportunity EVERY DAY to drop into this happy place, but so often we get too scared to explore it…
We’re scared that the happy place doesn’t truly exist, and so instead, we get stuck on a mental rollercoaster thinking things like “we’re not good enough” or “there’s no hope….”
None of those things are true! But here’s the kicker: we need to believe that they aren’t true.
We need to be able to drop ourselves INTO the happy place, and we need to do it over and over again so that we become familiar with what that place feels like.
The more we go into the deepest depths of our inner terrain.
The more we’re able to familiarize ourselves with our authentic state of being…
And the more we’re in our authentic state of being… The happier we are.
See, it’s important to let GO of expectations from the outside universe, or get validation from external things…
And focus more on getting validation from the internal space.
Because once you go into that internal space…
You discover SO much. You discover gratitude and space and JOY!
But, in order to get there, you must be able to swim deeper and deeper into the infinite ocean that you are.
