How to Make Your Own Nut Milk

Jennifer Partridge

Hi,

I'm Jennifer

If you are looking for the perfect milk substitute that is still rich in healthy fat and protein, then we have just the solution for you! This DIY walnut milk.

Walnuts are high in vitamin E and omega-3 fatty acids. Dairy products don’t always mix well for some of us. For our friend Dana, cutting dairy from her diet cleared up her acne entirely! One trick with making nut milk is to soak the nuts in water overnight to activate the healthy enzymes.

Ingredients & Materials

1/2 cup raw walnuts – soaked in water overnight
2 pitted Medjool dates
A pinch of sea salt
2-4 cups of water depending on how creamy you like it

Steps:

Add all ingredients together and blend. Drain mixture through nut milk bag or fine cheesecloth.
*Save the excess walnut meal. To make walnut flour, dehydrate the meal but placing in the oven on lowest heat for 4-6 hours*
