Relax, Success is Coming!

Jennifer Partridge

I'm Jennifer

Life coach, EFT / Tapping expert, yogi & wellness activist with a wild heart dedicated to support you in living the life of your dreams.

I have recently been talking to friends and colleagues who claim that they are unable to juggle the demands of life and work at a peaceful pace.

And as a teacher of peace, I have to say, I often feel the same way! Grrrrrr…

My ambition is often way too overzealous for what my primitive hands and frazzled brain can handle.

And instead of trying to put the Industrial Revolution’s pressure on myself… to achieve more, faster and bigger… perhaps it’s not so counterintuitive to do less.

Digging deeper into this topic I discovered that taking time to relax actually helps productivity!

And here is your permission to do the following!

Day Time Naps! Zzzzzzzzz….

Day-time naps have been proven to enhance performance. When night shift air traffic controllers took an average of 19 minute naps, they performed better in measured vigilance and reaction time.

More Vacation Time. Yipppppeeee…

An accounting firm Ernst & Young did a study of its employees and found that for every 10 hours of vacation time, their year-end performance went up an additional 8%.

Plus more vacation time, meant people wanted to stay around and not leave.

Work in 90 minute intervals… Ahhhhh….

K.Anders Ericsson from Florida State University studied Elite performers, from musicians, athletes, actors and chess players.

They found that the best performers practiced in sessions no longer than 90 minutes.

Take time for a 20 minute meditation

Meditation has been scientifically proven to not only relax those crazy panic attacks, but also give you the ability to resist urges.

One of the common traits of failed success, is being distracted by too many things, so with meditation, you are granted more focus for success.

Some people may say that emotional processing does not sound like the greatest way to relax!

Yet the truth is when we release all the pent up emotion and overwhelm, we actually feel much more energized, relaxed and capable!

I am sure just like me, you wish that all of this was true, but secretly doubt your capability of adding more relaxation into your busy ass day!

So let’s start with baby steps and see how it feels and what you achieve in doing so.

It will only take a small amount of time, and could give you a massive return on investment.

I would LOVE to hear from you in the comments area of my blog. Let me know what new relaxing habits you are bringing into your life and why you think it can help your productivity!

I thought this was a fitting quote from Leonardo Da Vinci

Every now and then go away, have a little relaxation, for when you come back to your work your judgement will be surer. Go some distance away because then the work appears smaller and more of it can be taken in at a glance and a lack of harmony and proportion is more readily seen.

All my love,

Jennifer Partridge
