The Power of YOU
Life coach, EFT / Tapping expert, yogi & wellness activist with a wild heart dedicated to support you in living the life of your dreams.
I am so sick of trying to be perfect….
Sit up straight, don’t slouch, don’t eat with your mouth open, smile, listen when your being spoken to, be polite, be a lady, do this, do that….
I have picked up many filters from my culture, family line and from what humanity deems as the ‘appropriate’ way to be.
It causes me insecurity and fear that perhaps I am not doing it right,
because I have been corrected so many times!
I have been corrected by people who were also corrected… so it is no ones fault.
Yet, as I peel off the layers of trying to be someone that I am not,
I am discovering something that is deep and true.
There is a difference between being told what is appropriate and learning what is appropriate.
When a person does what they are told, without having an opportunity to examine it and learn it for themselves,
it creates a rigidness, because they are trying to do the ‘right’ thing, without truly knowing WHY it is the right thing.
This past week as I wrote copy for my website, I found myself wanting to not only be vulnerable but there was a desire to be crass, and say words like shit and poo…
It was my inner child attempting to be free of rules.
I contemplated; what if we all had permission to be real,
without the need to hide the fact that we all get messy, make mistakes, have insecurities, occasionally look like a wreck in the morning, get pimples, smelly armpits or weird skin lesions or have emotional breakdowns, dislikes and fears…
I am sick of a culture that I have prescribed to that says I must look, be, smell and appear perfect all the time.
Because that is NOT me..
It was a fun game, when I had people convinced. But boy was it a lot of work!!!
My commitment now is to be wildly real, authentic and unabashed.
No matter how I look. You may like what you see. Or…
You may look at me and wish that I was manicured, presenting a perfect image of a teacher who is enlightened and says all the ‘right’ things.
Creating a bubble of safety for you by ‘presenting’ perfection.
Until the bubble is popped… (as it often is…)
Revealing that I too am human.
My commitment is to me first. Not to the world. Or who I think the world wants me to be.
And I hope that you join me in this escapade, to live your truth, regardless of what the world thinks is correct.
I have created this Tapping session to support you in getting there. It’s called: Connect to Your True Nature.
