Your Cure to Loneliness

Before I met my partner, I considered myself an adventurer

The term ‘lonely’ rarely crossed my mind.

I was always out, meeting new people, seeing the world.

Then I met my partner… he would work crazy hours,

and all of a sudden… I felt lonely… Soo strange, right?

When I was single I felt …content.

In a relationship I felt… lonely.

What’s up with that?!

My programming, and unresolved family patterns, that’s what!!!

In a relationship, I would let go of my adventurous identity

and shift into what many people call codependency.

(by the way, this is much more prevalent than we think…)

Only one generation before us, woman and men were taught to be co-dependant,

to give up their own sense of identity and adventure the moment they met the ONE.

Boy oh boy have the times changed….Yet some of that old programming has not.

This old program meant;

I needed my partner to represent my wholeness.

And when he was not available… Surprise. Surprise… I was a lonely ass!

These days, loneliness is an epidemic.

Some people feel lonely in relationships, others feel lonely out of relationships

And some lucky buggers feel lonely all the time.

To have a successful relationship, I had to transform my feelings of loneliness.

Guess what I discovered in the process?!?

A superhuman, powerful friend, lover and charged up space cadet….

ME!! It was a new me, and guess who came to join the party.

My adventurous self.

So now I have my adventurer and my lover in my relationship. Mmmm… delicious!

Loneliness to me is an invitation;

Recognize where you are depending on the outside world to fill a void and

bring all aspects of your amazing self to the party… It’s much more fun that way.
